To be eligible for the Shell Internship Program you MUST be a full time, currently enrolled, UNDERGRADUATE student that will be returning to school in the fall of 2013 as a full time sophomore, junior or senior.

Internship Position: Reforestation Planning Assistant

The intern will assist the Conservation Director with aspects of the continuing development of a reforestation plan in Hermann Park. The intern will be responsible for supplementing, updating and expanding HPC’s park tree inventory and database utilizing GPS equipment, including such information as species, size, condition, and maintenance needs of each tree. The intern will continue the development of a dynamic map of tree locations and planting spaces in Hermann Park using GIS Arcview 10 software, will research specific reforestation, maintenance topics, and will write reports regarding progress and findings.
