Take a Journey in volunteering this summer. Join our Summer Service Club for students.

Volunteer Houston invites students ages 14-18 to join our Summer Service Club and participate in volunteer projects. Summer Service Club members may sign up to volunteer weekly at nonprofit agencies that are serving the needs of the community. Youth –friendly projects are supervised on site by Volunteer Houston staff in partnership with each nonprofit agency.

Member orientation session is set for June 7 at Volunteer Houston

3015 Richmond Avenue

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendance is mandatory!!!

For high school students with graduation and community service requirements to fulfill, summer is a great time to volunteer in meaningful ways, build those hours and have fun. Students work as a team to complete a service project in half a day or less. The summer experience gives students the opportunity to explore how their efforts help strengthen and support the community.

A $15.00 donation is all that is required to join the Club and members may participate in as many or as few of the projects offered throughout the summer. Projects will be discussed at the member orientation. All activities take place on weekdays and students must have reliable and prompt transportation to and from projects.
