Hurricane Ike Recovery
"It ain't over till it's over...."
The Greater Houston area still has extensive damage, and repair work is expected to be ongoing for most of this year. As of early fall 2010, there are still hundreds of homes needing repairs. The Greater Houston Long Term Recovery Committee (GHLTRC), which is a coalition of church, city, service and volunteer agencies, is looking for volunteers to assist in repair and painting of these homes for low-income families, seniors, and disabled people. These are deserving homeowners who have no other means to repair or rebuild their homes.
