Volunteer Fort Bend promotes non-profit volunteer needs and special events to callers, through our website, Special Events calendar and our weekly Houston Chronicle Volunteer column, Sun Community Newspapers, The Fort Bend Herald and Fort Bend NOW online news. If you are a non-profit agency that would like to have your volunteer opportunities promoted by Volunteer Fort Bend, please register your needs now! During the months of November and December Volunteer Fort Bend promotes specific holiday volunteer and donation needs of area non-profits through the Holiday Wish List. To be included in the Holiday Wish lists please complete the Holiday Wish List Form and return it to Volunteer Fort Bend. For questions or more information contact the Fort Bend office and speak to staff about promoting your volunteer needs. Criminal Background ScreeningThis service provided by Volunteer Houston is for non-profits that work with vulnerable populations and need to screen employees and/or volunteers. Volunteer Houston's Criminal Background History Screening service includes training to assist agencies in outlining a risk management process, and information about elements required to become an approved client agency and participte in the program.
